About Ethos
Founded in 2024, ETHOS Search Operations Team provides support, expertise, and strategic & tactical operations to AHJs to find lost, missing, and endangered individuals. ETHOS Search Operations accomplishes its purpose through field search and rescue missions and operations, public education, and advocacy of best practices in the search and rescue space.
Currently covering the state of Ohio and surrounding areas, ETHOS’s trained, experienced, and certified search technicians, planners, managers, and pilots are a no-charge, all volunteer resource to law enforcement, fire, emergency management, and other governmental agencies. ETHOS is a 501(c)3 non-profit entity, entirely staffed by dedicated volunteers. The team works with city, county, state, and national authorities to provide search operations support. Our teams are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.
Our Team
Our team members are people with a passion for serving others and supporting public service agencies. Our all-volunteer force comes from all walks of life, including pilots, public service workers, retired military personnel, local law enforcement officers, and private business.
All ETHOS members undergo a state and Federal background check, and every member of our team is trained to ASTM 2209 and NASAR SARTECH levels of competency. Once deployed, our team is fully self sufficient for up to 72 hours, and integrates into standard NIMS operational models.
