ETHOS ground search technicians bring extensive training and field experience across a range of search methods - including evidence-based, rapid response, and wide-area techniques. Leveraging advanced technologies - such as real-time mapping, aerial and satellite imagery, and LIDAR - our teams deliver actionable insights to guide search operations. These tools, combined with Lost Person Behavior analytics, real-time voice and data communication, and seasoned field personnel enable us to provide critical support to the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). ETHOS’s FAA-licensed remote pilots use modern drones with high resolution video and photography capabilities to obtain imagery of areas for analysis. Our pilots and support personnel are qualified and experienced in image interpretation, and provide key support in searching large areas.

Public Education and Outreach Programs

Our certified water‑search K9 teams are trained to detect human scent rising from submerged sources, even in challenging environments such as reservoirs, coves, and moving water. Handlers work in coordination with boat operators to identify, bracket, and confirm areas of interest, providing rapid, high‑value intelligence that guides sonar and dive operations.

Rope Operations

ETHOS’s rope operations team is trained and qualified to NFPA 1006 standards for rope rescue operations. The team, composed of rope rescue operations and technician-level certified personnel, are capable of both low and high-angle operations in both remote and urban settings.
